About The Doctor

Dr. Beauty M. Swe is an Internal Medicine physician, who places substantial emphasis on preventive healthcare, good nutrition and lifestyle choices. She is a strong believer in integrative medicine, designed to treat patients as individuals, rather than just a collection of symptoms. Dr. Swe is well known for her health education seminars on obesity, heart disease, cholesterol, diabetes and stress management. She is also a strong advocate for women’s health and weight loss programs.

As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at USC Keck School of Medicine, Dr. Swe teaches medical students during their Ambulatory Care Medicine rotations. Dr. Swe received her medical degree from the Institute of Medicine, Myanmar with an externship at Loma Linda University. She completed her residency at LAC-USC Medical Center and finished her Teaching and Learning Fellowship at USC Keck School of Medicine. Before starting her own practice, Dr. Swe worked with the World Health Organization and served as an Attending Physician for the United Nations Development Programme in Western Samoa.

Dr. Swe is passionate about community service and health education. She is an active member of Tzu Chi Free Clinic, providing free healthcare to financially disadvantaged and uninsured patients. She also serves as a Board Director for the Women Educating Women Group.

Dr. Swe is affiliated with the Huntington Memorial Hospital and the Methodist Hospital of Southern California.
